Airbrush makeup has been around for more than 5 decades but has only come to realize it’s potential in the Indian market in the last 4-5 years. This makeup is sprayed onto the skin using a gun instead of being applied with sponges, brushes, fingers, or other methods. It has picked up pace with the advent of high-definition video and HD television. Traditional makeup settles into the pores and fine lines whereas airbrush makeup just sits on top of your skin looking like second skin. Airbrush makeup stays longer than traditional powder or liquid foundation, and stays put for 18–24 hours.

Airbrush makeup uses a freehand technique (circular motions or back and forth) to apply makeup while keeping in mind aspects such as distance and air pressure to produce certain effects and coverage.
