The academy is headed by Vanshika Chawla, an internationally trained makeup artist & Educator from London who personally takes all the classes here at Brush Up. We provide training to both amateurs and professionals since we have a variety of courses to choose from. We provide the best high end to budget range cosmetics for the students to practice with so that they get a feel of all kinds of products so as to decide what they would like to eventually add to their own makeup kits.

Ans:-The basic definition of makeup is transforming a persons face or body in order to beautify it or alter it completely (prosthetics) using cosmetic products.

Ans:-Most often the mistakes are pertaining to excess product being slapped onto the face. Remember, “Less is more.” It’s always a good idea to start with little product and build on that since it’ll always be easier to increase coverage or intensity but more difficult to reduce the amount already added.

Ans:- A good moisturizer that’s not very greasy but still very hydrating and an amazing mascara!

Ans:- My experience as a makeup artist has been amazing. It’s tough but also very satisfying to be doing what you’re so passionate about. As a professional makeup artist I get to meet a lot of people everyday and also work on new faces all the time that keeps life very exciting. Having said that, it’s a slow process because it takes time to build a good portfolioand making a mark for yourself.

Ques:- What Is The Difference Between Applying Makeup For a photoshoot And Applying Makeup For an event (bridal, party etc.)?

Ans:- Makeup for photoshoots is done according to the brief provided by the client and will always mostly be heavy and have sharper colours because what you see with a naked eye is much lesser than what you will see on camera. Event makeup will have more finesse and will be lighter than photoshoot makeup. The makeup should highlight the persons best features and conceal the ones they would like to pull back.

Ans:- Invest in a good skin care routine. Makeup will only go so far but having good skin goes a long way. And to top it all, makeup will only look good if your skin looks healthy and glowing.

Ans:-All courses can be pursued on weekdays or weekends.

BEAUTY BASICS CERTIFICATION- This is the first level of the professional makeup course and covers all the basics of make up and hairstyling. Can be pursued by beginners who have little or no knowledge of makeup.

BRIDAL MAKEUP ARTISTRY DIPLOMA- This is the second level of the professional makeup course which is pursued after the basic course or if someone already has the basic knowledge they can directly move onto this level. This covers Bridal makeup, HD makeup, Fashion makeup, Advanced hairstyling, Mature skin makeup, Draping among other things.

AIRBRUSH CERTIFICATE- This is the third level of the professional course but can also be done individually.

SHORT COURSES- These are for artists who want to upgrade their knowledge in a short period of time.

PRO CRASH COURSE- This is a professional makeup crash course that takes the student through an intensive 15-20 day program which covers basics to advanced level of makeup artistry.

SELF MAKEUP COURSE- This is a self grooming module which teaches you how to become your own makeup artist.

All practice material is provided by us and a professional photoshoot is also given at the end of all 3 levels of the Pro course.

Ques:- Is there any eligibility criteria for the professional makeup courses?

Ans:- A student should be over 18 and if not should have written consent from parents to have makeup products applied on them. And they should have a basic understanding of hindi or English.
